Here's why this can be a good thing.
If you're the type to make pre-ground, flavored coffee by day and pre-frozen Jack Daniel's-infused chicken nuggets by night, good news. The brand recently rolled out whiskey-flavored coffee for the masses, seemingly blurring the lines between the rules about eating breakfast before noon and also never drinking before that time.
Don't break out your party pants just yet, though, because this coffee is merely flavored like whiskey, versus offering the real-deal experience. There's nothing Irish about this coffee either. You won't catch a buzz from anything other than the caffeine, but if smelling like your entire college experience first thing in the morning feels right for you, this branded partnership with World of Coffee should tickle your fancy.
“We use the best tasting and highest quality coffees in the world and now add to that the authentic taste and aroma of Jack Daniel’s,” Charlie Newman, president/owner and roast master of World of Coffee, said in a press release. “We take a lot of care and pride in the coffee products we craft and Jack Daniel’s Coffee is no exception.”
If you're wondering if this version of Jack n' coffee will be different from the version that was discontinued way back in 2011, yes. Apparently the original version was just sprinkled with Jack "flavor"; this more modern version incorporates actual Tennessee whiskey into the grounds.
You can buy it online for now, and it comes in both regular and decaf versions (but honestly, if you're the decaf type, what are you even doing with whiskey flavored coffee?), and is somewhat pricey at $21.95 for an 8.8 ounce tin. If you do buy it, keep in mind you'll need to allocate extra budget for powdered coffee "creamer" and sugar substitutes, because when in Rome, right?
